Chelsea’s transfer masterclass was valued at £110m, according to an ESPN study
There was a lot of focus on the players Chelsea were bringing in last summer, but we shouldn’t forget the controversy about some of the sales too.
Fans were largely pretty happy to see Kai Havertz go – and amazed by the money we were able to get for him from Arsenal. The Mason Mount move was more controversial, but nobody was questioning the impressive return we got for a player who had just a year left on his contract.
On ESPN today they looked at just that – how did we pull off getting £110m for two players who had struggled so badly for us, in difficult contract situations?
