
Two Chelsea stars sends message to their key teammate after incredible career milestone
Chelsea duo, Noni Madueke and Ian Maatsen have congratulated Cole Palmer for earning his debut for England recently.
Palmer was called-up by Gareth Southgate last Monday, for England’s European Championship qualifiers with Malta and North Macedonia in the ongoing international break.
The youngster has been in wonderful form since he made a £42.3m switch from Man City to Chelsea over the summer. He currently has four goals and as many assists in all his games for the Blues this season, and many will agree that he certainly deserved to be invited to the national team.
Palmer was introduced in the second half of the game against Malta on Friday, and gave a decent account of himself while on the pitch. And the 21-year-old, who could not keep his excitement to himself after the clash took to instagram to share his joy with followers.
He wrote: “A dream come true for me. Proud moment for me and my family to make my @England debut.”
Palmer’s post didn’t go unnoticed from his Chelsea teammates, Madueke and Maatsen, who dropped comments, and let him know they were happy for him.
Madueke said: “Da boy,” while Maatsen added: “Congrats broski”.
England will now play North Macedonia next, and Palmer will be hoping he can get another chance to impress Southgate.
