Man City legend predicts Chelsea Premier League finish this season

Sky Sports pundit, Micah Richards has urged Chelsea to continue fighting, and try to secure a place in the UEFA Champions League by the end of the ongoing season.

The Blues currently have 16 points from their first 12 league games, having won four, drawn four, and lost four of them.

Chelsea have however, picked up five points from their last two matches, including a 4-1 win against Tottenham and Sunday’s 4-4 draw with Manchester City.

Sunday’s display against the Champions was particularly impressive from Mauricio Pochettino’s men, and there is now a positive feeling about them according to Richards, who says they may yet finish in the top four, despite the 10-point gap that currently exists between them and 4th-placed Tottenham.

“Keep fighting for the Champions League, its as simple as that,” Richards said when asked about Chelsea’s aims.

“It’s going to be tough but the last two games gives them confidence. This team has courage. So many teams go behind against City and find no way back.

“They kept going and have quality, Sterling and Palmer, Jackson is not the best striker but works hard for the team.

“Liverpool when they had Salah, Mane, Firmino, Firmino was great on the ball but had a role for the team. Jackson’s job might be pressing in this team.”
