Chelsea preparing huge bid for 27 year old goal machine in January
According to Football London via Metro, Chelsea are preparing a huge bid for 27 year old Brentford striker Ivan Toney in January.
The England striker is currently serving an eight-month ban for gambling offences but he’s back in training with Brentford.
Arsenal are also interested in signing the striker but are unwilling to pay Brentford’s asking price of £80million for the striker.
Nicolas Jackson has sometimes struggled in front of goal for Chelsea this season and the Blues hierarchy believes Toney would be a more reliable target man, and at 27 he has plenty of time left at the top.
