Reports have claimed that Chelsea summer signing Cole Palmer did his due diligence before making the move to Stamford Bridge.
According to the Mail Online, the 21-year-old believed he could definitely earn himself a starting role after studying the squad that was at Mauricio Pochettino’s fingertips.
Palmer has certainly established himself as a key member of the Chelsea side since being given his first start for the club.
The youngster is now seemingly locked in to his place in the side now, with him bringing the most creativity to a side that had been lacking that for a few months now.
The deadline day move caught many by surprise, however it has quickly become Chelsea’s best bit of business from a very busy summer at Stamford Bridge.
Now, it has emerged that Palmer believed from the start that he had a great chance at getting minutes at Stamford Bridge, after a thorough analysis of the team that was already there.

The gamble has certainly paid off for the 21-year-old, who has now been rewarded with his first call-up to the senior England side.
While it is unclear at this stage whether he will play for the Three Lions, the lower stakes on the qualifying games left after England secured their place at Euro 2024 suggest that opportunities could arise.
One player that won’t be joining him on the pitch for his country though is Raheem Sterling, after he was again snubbed by Gareth Southgate and the selectors.
The decision left a number of pundits baffled at his lack of a call-up, after his good form in the Premier League does not seem to have been rewarded by his international manager.
