Caughtoffside are one of the sites reporting that Chelsea are among the Premier League teams who have had scouts watching Kvicha Kvaratskhelia while he played on international duty with Georgia this week.
The Napoli winger is looking increasingly like he might come on the market next summer given how the Serie A side’s golden era looks to have come to an abrupt end.
Georgia were beaten 3-1 by Spain on Saturday, but Kvaratskhelia still managed to grab a goal and impress individually.
One might that that it’s unlikely that we’re in the mix, given we’ve spent so much on Cole Palmer, Mykhailo Mudryk, Raheem Sterling and Noni Madueke in the last 18 months, let alone on younger talents now out on loan.
But these owners have showed they’re always looking to upgrade to world class talents whenever the opportunity presents itself, and the way things are going at Napoli, Kvaratskhelia could soon be one of those talents.
