The Kenyan giants dropped to the competition after they were eliminated by Egypt’s Zamalek SC in the Champions League

Orlando Pirates

The Premier Soccer League side was assured of a place in the play-offs after a 1-0 win in the second leg against Congo’s CSMD Diables Noirs. The first leg ended goalless on October 15.

Enyimba FC

A 3-0 home win and an initial 1-0 away win over Diambers FC of Senegal saw the Nigerian side book a ticket in the Confederation Cup play-offs stage and could be Tusker’s opponents after the Tuesday draw.

RS Berkane

The Moroccan side secured a place after a comfortable 5-0 aggregate win over Ben Guerdane of Tunisia. Should they be paired against Tusker, they would be facing a Kenyan team again after their previous meeting against Gor Mahia in 2019.

Pyramids FC

The Egyptian side progressed from the first round after a 0-0 draw and a 1-0 win over Tanzania’s Azam FC. The draw could pit them against another East African side should they be drawn against Kenya’s champions.

JS Kabylie

The Algerian side defeated their Moroccan rivals, FAR Rabat, in the last round after picking up a 2-1 home win and 1-0 away victory and are another side that could be paired against the Brewers.

CS Sfaxien

The Tunisian side enjoyed a 5-0 aggregate win over Nigeria’s Bayelsa United and booked themselves a slot in the competition’s next phase.

Cotonsport FC

The 15-time winners of the Cameroonian Premier League title are set to learn their play-off rivals after a win over Orapa United of Botswana.

The Cameroonian giants were defeated 2-1 away but managed a 1-0 win at home to progress courtesy of the away goal rule.

Al Masry SC

The Egyptian Premier League side advanced courtesy of a 1-0 slim win over Uganda’s URA FC in the second leg after the first leg encounter had produced a 0-0 draw.

A possible draw against Tusker would mean they will have another trip to East Africa for the play-offs.
